TEDxABQ is coming back to Albuquerque! For four years running, the TED.com licensed conference has showcased New Mexico’s biggest ideas and fascinating thinkers to sold-out audiences. This year, the event will highlight 16 to 20 remarkable homegrown ideas from New Mexico’s most passionate engineers, authors, farmers, scientists, artists, and doctors, among others.
TEDxABQ invites you to discover and interact with extraordinary thinkers and a community eager to exchange ideas and connect with each other. On stage, experience a line-up of dynamic speakers and performers, invited for their ability to inspire positive change. Off stage, engage with innovative community partners through eye-opening hands-on experiences. View the full 2013 speaker lineup at tedxabq.com.
Start the day off with stimulating conversations over a cup of locally brewed coffee at 9:00am. The main TEDxABQ event begins at 10:00am, and includes an intricately curated full-day stage program featuring TED-style short talks, video interludes and other surprises. Throughout the day there are conversation breaks and a lunch experience, where together with other attendees and speakers you will delve into the ideas introduced on stage. Conversations and opportunities to connect with event speakers, organizers and attendees will continue in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere at the post event mixer.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
